A message from Mrs. Johnson:
I have taught children for 30 years, ages ranging from Kindergarten through eighth grade. I have taught in public schools as well as private Christian schools. I have never had a bad year because all of my students do well. All I ask is that they do their best and please the Lord.
It is such a joy for me to introduce them to Jesus and help them follow Him. Part of following Him includes doing their best in class, and obeying parents, teachers, and others in authority. With children at this young age, they will never forget the truths from the Bible. And when God leads them, they can make the most important decision of all by trusting in the Lord to save them from their sin. Because Jesus said, "I will never leave you..", they can be assured that they are part of the true family of God. What a wonderful promise that is for these little ones as they grow up in an uncertain world!
Many of the children that I have taught have come back to tell me how they were so thankful that I led them to the Lord while they were in my class. It makes a big difference to know the Lord, His love, His help, His wisdom, and His strength. He is faithful and He has guided my students through good and bad times. With His help, they have made positive choices for their lives and careers.
After many of my former students have graduated from high school, I praise the Lord to have seen them serve as teachers, accountants, counselors, becoming parents, and serving our country in the military. Most of all, I love to see that they serve in their church by teaching Sunday School, Awana, work in the Nursery, become leaders, or help on Mission trips. Even those who do not serve in their church are productive citizens in their communities. Isn't this what we need to see our Christian young people become? Teaching a Biblical worldview in Galesburg Christian School, is one way that God can help your child stay on a good path for life. It is worth all the money, prayers, and time here because it is a lasting (eternal) investment.
Praise the Lord for opportunities to teach and learn at Galesburg Christian School.
