Mrs. Rhonda Flack
Years at GCS: 12
Principal
Scripture: Proverbs 1:7, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge..."
In our world today "knowledge" is plentiful, but "wisdom" is scarce. Wisdom means far more than simply knowing a lot. Wisdom is a basic attitude that affects every aspect of life. The first step to becoming wise is "fear of the Lord," to honor and respect God, to live in awe of His power. Faith in God must be the foundation of our understanding of the world, of our attitudes, and our actions. If we trust Jesus as Savior He will make us truly wise.
Hello... Welcome to the Galesburg Christian School website. We thank you for your interest in our school. For some of you, sending your child to Kindergarten will not be a totally new adventure, since perhaps your child has previously attended a pre-school. However, we are certain that regardless of any past "school" experience, you are concerned about what to expect if you should make the decision to become part of Galesburg Christian School's education program. We hope to be of help as you make an informed, God led decision about your child's education.
My name is Rhonda Flack and I have been teaching at GCS for 11 years. I'm excited to this year also be serving as the principal. First, and most importantly, I want you to know that by God's grace, and with His help each day, I place the Lord Jesus first and foremost in my life. I know that God has called me to minister to His children in this specific place. I do not consider this my "job" or even my "position", but the ministry I have been called to for the privilege and honor of serving our great God, parents, families and precious children.
My personal mission is to know God fully, even as I am fully known, so that my life and death will be a testimony to His goodness and bring Glory to His name. "But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works" (Psalm 73:28).
We thank the Lord for all of the awesome things He is doing here at GCS. He has truly blessed our school and we are deeply grateful for all He has done. I look forward to meeting you and your child if we are not already acquainted.
