Illiniois State Law requires physical examinations for every student entering Kindergarten, 6th grade, and 9th grade, dental examinations for every student entering K5, 2nd grade, and 6th grade, and vision examinations for students entering K5, 5th grade, and 9th grade or enrolling into this district for the first time.
Parent Involvement Program (PIP)
Note from the Principal: "This is something new that we are doing this year to involve parents with school functions and help promote fellowship. The way that it is designed is to allow parental involvement with activities such as Grandparent’s Day, the Labor Day Parade, and other school related events. PIP is made up of parents of the school and will be a vital in helping events such as these to be successful. There will be monthly meetings where these ideas and planning will take place. Dana Sammons, 309/255-1012 or 309/342-8749 and Alisha George, 309/299-2995, are the PIP leaders who will be responsible for facilitating the meetings. In addition, each class will have a parent who will serve as the point of contact between PIP and the teacher. This program will be a great way of connecting with other families in the school and will be beneficial to the school having quality programs. If you have any questions in regards to PIP, please let me know."
There is a PIP meeting, Monday, February 13th at 6pm. We ask that all the room mothers try to make this meeting especially. Come and see what you can do to help out for your school!
